Washington Township Road Department
Road Supervisor – John Newland
Phone: (937) 539-1808
The safety of Washington Township residents is of the utmost concern for Washington Township Trustees. The Road Department works hard every day to be a part of that effort in keeping our township roads, cemeteries, and parks safe for its residents.
Road Supervisor John Newland and Road Maintenance crew member Rick Beck can be seen plowing snow, trimming trees, mowing, replacing/cleaning drains, and much more.
We maintain only the roads that are under the jurisdiction of Washington Township. The Logan County Engineer’s Office maintains all county roadways and the Ohio Department of Transportation maintains the state roads and federal highways.
Summer months find us busy taking care of our park, cemeteries and roads – a lot of mowing, tree trimming, spraying, alley work, dumpster days, etc..
What We Do

Sign Maintenance - Maintain ALL signs belonging to Township roads/parks
Storm Water Maintenance - Maintain all storm water collection systems appurtenant to township roads
